For example: if you have an 800 sq ft, you will need to multiply this value with 20, this way you will need a 16000 BTU air conditioning for this space.
Every time you come across a K, it is just to shorten the 1000. For example: a 9K air conditioning, means it has 9000 BTU, making it ideal for a 450 sq ft space.
Note: if you have high walls, or a place where the sun hits directly, consider taking a higher BTU air conditioning to ensure that your room will cool propertly.
